Terence P. Keegan is an associate attorney of the firm.
He advises clients on intellectual property and commercial litigation; copyright and trademark matters; defense against defamation and other publication torts; newsgathering issues; and prepublication review.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Keegan worked as a law clerk for the litigation and intellectual property groups of Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz PC in New York. Prior to and during law school, Mr. Keegan worked as a reporter and editor for various publications covering the media and entertainment industries. He reported on digital distribution and licensing for Variety in Los Angeles, and edited a trade magazine on the global DVD business, for which he launched a bilingual English-Chinese edition.
Mr. Keegan is admitted to practice in New York State courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He received a B.A. with high honors from Rutgers College, and graduated cum laude from New York Law School, where he served as an Articles Editor for the school’s Law Review. He is a member of the Media Law Resource Center, New York City Bar Association and American Bar Association, and serves on the Civil Practice Law and Rules Committee of the New York State Bar Association.
